Thailand Clearing House Co. Ltd. (TCH)
is a subsidiary of the Stock Exchange of Thailand that serves as a clearing and settlement center for securities traded on SET and mai, as well as derivatives traded on TFEX. TCH was established in 2004 to initially provide clearinghouse services for derivatives before being trusted with additional responsibility in 2010 to oversee the clearing services for securities, previously under the supervision of Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd. (TSD), enhancing TCH's roles as a total service provider, covering clearing services for both securities and derivatives.

The TCH is governed by the Securities and Exchange Act B.E. 2535 (1992) for equity and bonds and the Derivatives Act B.E. 2546 (2003) for derivatives and is under the supervision of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Roles of TCH


TCH, as a Central Counterparty (CCP) for the stock and futures markets, will become a counterparty to both buyer and seller members as soon as the deals are matched.

The "Novation Process" helps to mitigate counterparty risk
because if any party fails to honor its obligation, whether in payment or delivery, TCH will step in to fulfill such obligations, instilling confidence among members and investors.
