The Stock Exchange of Thailand and its Subsidiaries
For the year ended 31 December 2015
1. General information
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is a juristic entity
incorporated in Thailand under the Securities Exchange of
Thailand Act B.E. 2517. The principal business activities of the SET
are serving as the market or the centre for trading of
securities and providing related services without the objective of
distribution of profit tomembers. The SET commenced its trading of
securities on 30 April 1975 and operates under the
framework of the Securities Exchange of Thailand Act B.E. 2535.
Its registered office is located at 93 Floor 17 Ratchadapisek
Road, Kwaeng Din Daeng, Khet Din Daeng, Bangkok 10400,
Thailand.
For reporting purposes, the SET and its subsidiaries are
referred to as the Group.
The principal activities of SET and its subsidiaries are
summarised as follows:
1. Securities markets comprise the operation of securities
listing, trading system, clearing and settlement, depository,
including market surveillance and supervision of listed companies
and member companies.
2. Derivatives markets comprise the operation of
trading and clearing of futures contracts and financial securities,
providing other services related to futures trading transactions.
3. Technology services comprise the operation of
internet trading platform for securities and derivatives, information
services and other member services.
4. Registrar services comprise the operation of securities
registrar.
The consolidated and entity financial statements were
authorised for issue by the Board of Governors of the Stock
Exchange of Thailand on 17 February 2016.
