The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)
was established under the Securities Exchange of Thailand Act,
B.E. 2517 (1974) to provide a fund-raising platform for business
sector’s expansion. The exchange has mechanism that plays
a key role in the country’s economic development. Currently,
the Thai bourse operates under the Securities and Exchange Act,
B.E. 2535 (1992). SET is governed by the Board of Governors
that sets policies and oversees operations.
