In line with the Bank of Thailand’s approval (to be called “the Approval” in this document), Thai NVDR Co., Ltd. is allowed to hold shares of any financial institution in an amount over 10% but not over 25% of paid-up capital. Whenever Thai NVDR handles such cases, the following procedures will be used :
- When the holding of the investment in shares of any financial institution reaches 5% and 2% of paid-up capital prior to reaching “the Approval” level, Thai NVDR will notify investors respectively via www.set.or.th/nvdr and www.set.or.th
- When the holding in such shares is approaching the limitation of “the Approval”, Thai NVDR will temporarily hold off the investment, by using the following practices :
- Notify investors for temporarily holding off the investment in such shares via www.set.or.th/nvdr and www.set.or.th
- Stop issuing any NVDR for such underlying shares. Consequently, investors cannot buy more NVDR in such underlying shares in the trading system and cannot adjust sell or buy NVDR transactions via NVDR adjustment function in TSD system.
- When Thai NVDR’s holding in such shares decreases to the investible level at 3% of paid-up capital prior to reaching “the Approval” level, Thai NVDR will allow investors to resume investing in the NVDR for such underlying shares, by using the following practices :
- Notify investors regarding the resumption of the investment in such shares via www.set.or.th/nvdr and www.set.or.th
- Issue NVDR again for such underlying shares. Consequently, investors can buy NVDR in such underlying shares in the trading system as normal. Investors can also adjust sell or buy the NVDR transactions via NVDR adjustment function in the TSD system, provided that such transactions occur from the resumption date onwards.
Remark : Information on NVDR outstanding shares is available on Thai NVDR and SET website https://www.set.or.th/en/market/statistics/nvdr/outstanding-share The information is updated daily.
